"Hiccup? Hiccup where are you?" The man in question ducked behind a building, ignoring the look of one of the villagers walking by. Tuff's voice faded off into the distance, the taller Viking wandering off to find his boyfriend.
"What are you doing?"
"SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH." Hiccup hissed frantically, grabbing Astrid's arm and pulling her down so they were crouching in the bushes. "Tuff's being weird, so I'm hiding until he stops being a fishwife."
"Fishwife?" Astrid raised an eyebrow, confusion written across her features.
"There you are. Why aren't you wearing your vest? It's cold out, in fact you shouldn't even be outside cause it looks like it's gonna rain later and you know how that aggravates your leg." Hiccup barely had time to yelp before he was scooped off the ground, one of Tuff's arms banded around his midsection in a steely grip.
"Fish.Wife." Hiccup ground out, lips pursing together as he attempted to struggle out of Tuff's hold. "Put me down Tuffnut. I'm a grown man, a little rain isn't going to incapacitate me."
Astrid snorted loudly, ignoring the glare Hiccup sent her way. She stood and brushed off her skirt, giving a salute to the boys as she wandered off.

"Beard of Thor Tuffnut, jumping from two feet up is not going to hurt me." Hiccup snarled from where he dangled, half out of breath, from Tuffnut's s outstretched arm.
"I'd rather not take the chance." Tuff replied calmly, setting Hiccup gently on the ground as if he were made of glass. The smaller man glared up at his boyfriend, lips pursed in his 'I'm very annoyed with you right now' expression.
"You have got to stop this. I'm not about to break." Hiccup snarled, turning and stomping down the path to the beach, calling for Toothless and ignoring the way Tuffnut watched him go, a fond look on his face.

Tuff stared upwards, one hand shielding his eyes from the glare of the sun as he watched the tiny black speck in the sky. Hiccup was up there on the back of his Night Fury, doing barrel rolls and crazy spins at speeds that no other dragon could even hope to match.
He knew he shouldn't worry. He knew that Hiccup was getting mad. He knew that Astrid and his sister were laughing at him and calling him a fishwife for treating Hiccup the way he'd been treating him. He also knew that Toothless would protect his rider with his last dying breath.
And yet, with everything he knew, he couldn't help but be nervous. Always on the lookout for something that might bring harm to Hiccup, who despite his seemingly fragile exterior, was one of the most stubborn, bone headed vikings he'd ever met. If someone said no, Hiccup would find a way to prove them wrong, usually in the flashiest, most death defying way possible.
And so when Toothless finally landed on the beach, Hiccup out of breath from the flight and grinning like a lunatic, Tuffnut resisted the urge to pull him into a hug and demand he not fly so fast.

Toothless was sleeping in front of the fireplace when the storm finally hit Berk. The dragon far too exhausted from the exhilarating flight to worry about anything else.
Several feet back from the fireplace was a platform, raised a foot off the ground. Evergreen boughs peaked from beneath a massive black bearskin blanket, and on the makeshift mattress, sat Hiccup and Tuff. The former leaning back against the latter and watching the fire.
Every few moments thunder would rumble across the sky and Hiccup would wince, trying not to show his discomfort.
"Is it your leg?" Tuff gently cupped the metal base of the prosthesis, and Hiccup smiled, leaning over to press a kiss to the side of Tuff's head. It was moments like these that made life bearable.
"Fishwife." Hiccup muttered, sighing as the light ache in his stump dissipated, Tuff gently rubbing just above his prosthesis in the way that made everything better.

Comfort
The world still felt right to him, but it wasn't.
It couldn't be.
He was gone
And his world just isn't right without him. Not complete without him.
But he was
And the universe should feel like it's out of tilt, the sky should be falling in, the earth should be crumbling beneath his feet, everything that one would only see in the darkest and most terrifying of nightmares should be happening to him right then because this was his most horrible nightmare come to life.
He should be on the ground, screaming, weeping and writhing in agony, he should be feeling so much grief that his insides twisted with pain.
But he wasn't

sketches, a Tuffcup drabble
"Hiccup?"
Tuffnut asked a he entered the forge. It had been a habit of his to drop by the forge during afternoons on his way home from training the younger people how to take care of and ride dragons, whenever he knew Hiccup wasn't working on some new contraption or modifications for toothless' artificial tail fin, and walk him home. Hiccup hadn't liked it at the beginning, insisting that lived far enough without having to walk him to his house and then go to his own but as always, Tuffnut just ignored him and kept doing it until Hiccup gave up trying to convince him to stop dropping by to walk him home and just let the blond do as he please

The bet
The melodic sound of the wind chimes hanging close to the door being swayed by a slight breeze echoed in the mostly empty café, signaling the entry of another customer. From behind the counter, a balding man with a prosthetic hand, a thick blond unibrow and a peculiar mustache looked up from the newspaper he was reading.
A tall man with white-blond dreadlocks had just entered and his grey-blue eyes lit up in recognition when he saw the man behind the counter. He was probably about 6 feet tall and had a really nice build. Toned biceps and calves showed proudly under the military green sleeveless hoodie over a white tank
